【Abstract】As businesses look to increase the speed of innovation and disrupt themselves before being disrupted by others, it’s important to look at examples of how successful tech companies have attempted to do this. Uber Eats is an example of how Uber has managed to scale a new hypergrowth business within a hype-growth company. Uber Eats is now the largest food delivery company outside of China and oraentnin 40+ countries and 400 cities, all in just three years since it started. The session will look at the history of Uber Eats, the approach Uber took to scale the business and the intentional business and organizational decisions and tradeoffs to consider when ‘blitzscaling’ new offerings within established companies. Further, the session will look at how the future of food is being disrupted by tech and what that means for the space in the years to come.
