The Fourth International Conference on E-business (ICEB2004), hosted by Tsinghua University, will be held in Beijing, China, the capital city of China with ancient culture and long history.

E-business creates value by extending market reach, improving the efficiency of business processes, and building more productive relationships with customers and trading partner. E-business plays an increasingly critical role in today's intensely competitive, rapidly evolving global marketplace. Even after the shakeout of dot-com company, the e-business innovation has not stopped. We can see this from the emergence of Web services, the mobile Internet, agent technologies, wireless computing, P2P technologies, pervasive computing. These technologies and associated practices continuously challenge the traditional business models. The aim of the International Conference on E-business (ICEB) is to provide a global forum where both researchers and practitioners come together, present their latest findings and share their innovative ideas, industry foresights and practical experiences in the area of e-business. The conference will enhance participants' awareness in the lessons learned and focus their effort on the critical success factors for building service-oriented, cost-effective and profitable e-business.
